What should I get a Oreck XL 2 Vacuum or Dyson Animal Vacuum Cleaner?
Both are on crigslist the oreck is 75 and the dyson is 175 but I think I can get it for 150 or lower

Dysons are great vacuums Orecks are trash that will only work for a few weeks.(when new).
Well despite the other posted answer, Oreck’s are equally good vacuums. Each brand offers different features so you need to decide what is best for you by comparing.
Dyson is "bagless" but that also means you have to empty the collection cup that is full of the nasty stuff you vacuum up. When you dump it in the trash, a lot of dust blows back up so it’s back in your house. It also uses a filter that MUST be changed regularly or they lose suction and don’t work.
Oreck uses bags with a sealing flap on them. Much easier and more sanitary to change the bag than empty the Dyson cup. Oreck’s are also lighter so easier to maneuver and less tiring to use.
